Volunteering at the Library

The library is in great need of new volunteers in order to keep its doors open. There are a variety of tasks available depending on a volunteer's time, skills and interests, incl.:
-
working shifts
-
helping with seasonal events
-
social media design and management
-
library maintenance (sorting donations, cleaning, simple repairs)
-
come up with your own task

Volunteers are voting members of the library foundation. Make your voice heard!
Volunteers also have the option of enrolling with RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Kitsap County) which the library supports.

Please email our volunteer coordinator for further information.
Financial or In-kind Support
Although volunteers work all library shifts, the library still depends on financial or in-kind donations to run its programs, maintain the building and keep the lights on, incl. the Holiday Tree Lighting.

When making a financial donation, please specify whether it is for library operations or the annual tree lighting event, as they are financed through different accounts. Cash or checks are accepted during regular library hours. Checks may also be mailed to the following address:

Tracyton Community Library
P.O. Box 456
Tracyton, WA 98393

Tracyton Community Library also participates in the annual Great Give. Donations can be sent throughout the year through this link.

In-kind donations are extremely valuable as they help us keep cost down for regular or seasonal maintenance and events. Examples of in-kind donations are food and beverages for the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, carpet cleaning services, painting supplies and labor, maintenance and operation of tree lights, etc.
